This cast iron skillet is made by KAMASADA in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture of Japan using traditional techniques. Founded in 1908, KAMASADA is now in its third generation with master craftsman Nobuho Miya continuing his family legacy creating traditional Nambu Tekki ironware with a fresh take. Cast iron pans are durable and versatile, great for use in ovens or outdoors with its excellent heat retention and conductivity. It also supplements iron intake by naturally adding ionized iron to the food. With a shallow rim and a long handle, this skillet is the perfect size for cooking pancakes, crepes, eggs, and even toast.

  • After rinsing with warm water while the pan is still warm, place over a gentle flame and let the water dry completely
  • Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the pan and wipe thoroughly with a paper towel
  • Do not let it soak in water for long periods of time 
  • Do not store food on the pan (especially acidic and salty food) as it may cause rusting
  • Handle with care as ironware are heavy
  • Use oven mitts when handling hot pan
  • Using cleansers and metal scrubbers may cause peeling
  • Wooden cooking tools are recommended to prevent scratching
