Just like traditional donabe, these casserole pots have excellent heat-retaining properties. The airtight lid allows for even heat distribution, preventing the loss of flavor from the cooked food. Unlike donabe, the PETARI shallow pots can be used in the oven and microwave, with or without the lid.
