Handcrafted in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture of Japan, an area known for samurai swordsmithing with over 700 years of history making knives, this cheese knife is suitable for cutting soft to semi-hard cheeses. Made of stainless steel with 99.9% 24 carat gold plating, the blade features a serrated edge at the tip that easily cuts through harder cheese. The handle is shaped with soft edges for a comfortable grip and a brushed matte finish that gives an antique feel. Made by craftsmen at SHIZU HAMONO, a knife manufacturing company established in 1980 using traditional techniques with updated standards and a take on contemporary design.
