These Nambu iron candle stands are designed by Hisao Iwashimizu, a Japanese cast iron artist known for creating ironware and teapots with a modern touch using traditional techniques. Handcrafted in Iwate Prefecture of Japan, these candle stands made with a minimalistic outline and elegant curves provide great stability with the weight of the iron. The stands have a slightly concave surface that is designed to collect the melted wax in the center, allowing for the candle to burn until the very end. Finished with Japanese lacquer glaze (urushi) coating to prevent rusting, these delicate cast iron stands pair exquisitely with TAKAZAWA KOMENUKA CANDLES or NANOHANA CANDLES.
