HASAMI PORCELAIN is a line of ceramics tableware designed by Tortoise owner Takuhiro Shinomoto in Venice, CA and produced in the historic town of Hasami in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. Made of a proprietary mixture of crushed Amakusa stone, the porcelainware is glazed with a traditional technique that creates a matte and organic texture on the surface. Finished with clean modern lines for easy stacking and nesting, all pieces in the collection are carefully designed and made interchangeable for added functionality.
