Designed by Sori Yanagi, one of the most renowned industrial designer in Japan for his simple and practical products ranging from furniture to kitchenware. As the son of the founder of the Mingei movement, Sori's designs were drawn from the aesthetics of Japanese folk crafts; finding beauty in the everyday objects made by unknown artists, focusing on using natural and local resources, traditional techniques and methods, and handmade production. His kitchen product series began with the extensive line-up of cutlery in 1974, extending to bowls, strainers, pots, colanders, pans, kettles, cast iron grills, kitchen knives, and utensils. The perforated tong is made of 18-8 stainless steel that is highly durable and lightweight, and its seamless design makes it easy to clean. It is shaped for easy lifting and turning, with a delicately curved handle for a comfortable grip. The punched wholes make the tong a versatile tool in the kitchen and dining space from mixing, serving, boiling, grilling, simmering, to deep frying. The ends are precisely designed for a secure hold. Features a matte finish that make stains and scratches less visible. Dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended. STAINLESS STEEL TONGS WITHOUT PERFORATION by Sori Yanagi is also available.
